This is the process to follow when you want to transfer products from one warehouse to another.

Following a strict warehouse transfer process is crucial because it ensures inventory accuracy, prevents costly stock discrepancies (like lost or damaged goods), and optimizes order fulfillment speeds. Without a rigid system, physical inventory quickly falls out of sync with your system numbers

Click on Warehouse > Stock Out (Packing List) > Add Packing List and then select Warehouse Transfer

Select Transfer Type & Delivery Information

Section titled “Select Transfer Type & Delivery Information”

In the Add a new Packing List form, enter the following:

  • Process: Manual or Barcode.
    • Manual means that only items that are not on barcodes will can be packed
    • Barcode means that only items with barcodes can be packed (use a scanner or choose barcodes manually)
  • Warehouse From and Warehouse To
  • Delivery Information such as vehicle details and waybill number

Click Save.

In the Warehouse Transfer form, click on the Add Line button. Select the [[style]] Colourway that you want to transfer and click Add.

For the Colourway that you added, enter the number of units to be transferred for each Size Point and click the Save button.

Continue adding as many Colourways as needed.

You have the option of printing a Picking List for your warehouse staff to use to complete the picking.

Click on the Print button.

In the Packing List (Warehouse Transfer) form, click on the Convert to Packing List button.

In the line for each Colourway, enter the actual number of items that have been packed for each Size Point and click Save.

At this point, an email is sent out to the relevant users stating that there is an unposted Packing List for attention.

You now need to lock the Packing List by Posting it. In the Packing List form, click on Post.

When the items are dispatched from the Warehouse OUT, mark the Packing List as in transit by clicking the In Transit button on the Packing List form.

When the items arrive at the Warehouse IN location you need to convert the Packing List to a GRN (Goods Received Note) so that you can formally record and verify the physical arrival of the stock.

In the Packing List form, click on Convert to GRN.

In order to make the newly transferred stock available in the Warehouse IN location, you need to Post the transfer GRN.

In the GRN, click on the Post button.
